Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah makes first speech on Israel-Gaza war

Hezbollah’s leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, issued a warning to the United States, emphasizing that preventing a regional conflict hinges on halting the Israeli attack on Gaza. Nasrallah’s speech, his first since the Israel-Hamas war began, raised concerns about the potential escalation of fighting on the Lebanese front into a full-fledged war. He also hinted at Hezbollah’s readiness to confront U.S. warships in the Mediterranean, sending a strong message to Israel’s main ally.

Nasrallah stated, “You, the Americans, can stop the aggression against Gaza because it is your aggression. Whoever wants to prevent a regional war, and I am talking to the Americans, must quickly halt the aggression on Gaza.”

The situation in the region remains fluid, and developments on the Lebanese front are closely tied to actions in Gaza and Israel. While Hezbollah has engaged in clashes with Israeli forces along the Lebanese-Israeli border since October 8, the conflict has been mostly confined to that area. However, Nasrallah’s warning underscores the potential for further escalation if the situation is not addressed.
